The HDES program annually admits graduate students from participating departments as Scholars in the program. Scholars undertake an interdisciplinary program of study coordinated by one or more members of the HDES faculty. Degrees will be awarded through the participating departments with the HDES emphasis area forming an additional commitment to interdisciplinary work. Scholars may receive a stipend for one or more semesters and are required to enroll in the pro-seminar where their research is shared and discussed. Applications to the HDES scholar program are due in the spring. Application information and forms can be obtained from this website. There is a wide and expanding array of classes to support the Human Dimensions program. Collectively the core faculty represent the largest concentration of researchers in human dimensions of natural resources and the environment of any university in the United States. Graduate students working with these individuals will have access to facilities of international caliber and a unique network of people and resources beyond the campus. |
